KATIE MUELLER, soprano, is thrilled to be singing her first concert with Madison Choral Project this season. She studied voice with Steven Paul Spears at Lawrence University, and graduated in 2016 with dual B.M./B.A. degrees in voice performance, biology, and biochemistry. At Lawrence, Katie sang with the Cantala Women’s Choir, Concert Choir, and Opera Theatre, and she is an alumnus of La Musica Lirica, a summer opera festival in Italy. Performance highlights include the soprano soloist in Bach’s Johannes-Passion with the Lawrence University Choirs, and Lucy Lockit in Britten’s The Beggar’s Opera, which recently received the American Prize in Opera Performance (college division). Katie also performs with Madison Chamber Choir, and is a staff singer at First Congregational United Church of Christ. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at UW-Madison.
