GEORGE CLEARY

George Cleary

GEORGE CLEARY has been a passionate member of choral ensembles for 24 years, beginning with the St. Croix Valley Boys Choir where he sang soprano for 5 years before finally, and with great relief, learning to read the bass clef. A highly active member of the choral department at the UW-Eau Claire he fondly recalls several international performances, the 60th Anniversary celebrations of D-Day in Normandy being a particular highlight. In the long meanwhile he has sung with the David York Ensemble in Portland, Oregon and the Alaska Chamber Singers under the direction of David Hagen. He has recently returned to his home state and to its thriving choral scene that spawned this inveterate chorister.
